Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or services. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms​

By accessing karida.info, karida.jp, cloud.karida.jp, or any associated services (collectively, "the Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. About Karida​

These Services are operated by Karida G.K. (Karida 合同会社), a company registered in Japan (Corporate ID: 4140003023138), with its registered address at Casabella Kokusai Bldg. 707, 1-1-18 Isobedori, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo 651-0084, Japan.

3. Services​

Our Services include:

  • Website — informational content available at karida.info and karida.jp
  • Karida Cloud — a cloud-based account platform at cloud.karida.jp for managing connected devices and data
  • Shop — an online store for purchasing Karida hardware products, accessible via our website

4. Account Terms (Karida Cloud)​

To use Karida Cloud, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

5. Shop and Purchase Terms​

5.1 Pricing and Payment​

All prices are displayed on the product page. Applicable taxes and shipping fees, if any, are shown during checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge the displayed amount to your payment method. Karida does not store your card details.

5.2 Order Confirmation​

An order is confirmed when payment is successfully completed through Stripe Checkout. You will receive a confirmation by email.

5.3 Shipping​

We currently ship within Japan only. Orders typically ship within 2–5 business days after payment confirmation, excluding public holidays and subject to stock availability. Actual delivery times depend on your location and the carrier.

5.4 Returns and Exchanges​

Please contact us before returning any item. Return and exchange eligibility depends on item condition and shipment status. To initiate a return or exchange, please use our contact form.

5.5 Defective or Incorrect Items​

If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us promptly. We will arrange a replacement or refund based on inspection results.

5.6 Order Cancellation​

Orders may be cancelled before shipment. After shipment has occurred, our return and exchange policy applies.

6. Intellectual Property​

All content on our Services — including text, images, logos, and software — is the property of Karida G.K. or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Open-source components used in our products are governed by their respective licenses. Where applicable, license information is provided in the product documentation.

7. Prohibited Conduct​

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or related systems
  • Transmit spam, malware, or any content that is harmful, offensive, or infringing
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software component of the Services
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our prior written permission

8. Third-Party Services​

Our Services integrate with third-party providers including Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (backend infrastructure). Use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Karida is not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

9. Disclaimers​

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party services linked from our platform.

10. Limitation of Liability​

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Karida G.K. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms​

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination​

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction​

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.
