This Privacy Policy applies to our online activities across our website and services, and is valid for visitors and customers concerning the information they share and/or collect through Karida. This policy does not apply to information collected offline or through any other channels besides our services.

Karida Cloud

When you create a Karida Cloud account, we collect and store the following information via our backend provider Supabase:

  • Email address and authentication credentials (used to create and secure your account)
  • Profile information you choose to provide (such as a display name)
  • Device and usage data associated with your account (such as connected device identifiers and telemetry data)

This data is used solely to operate and improve the Karida Cloud service. We do not sell your account data to third parties.

Shop and Payments

When you make a purchase through our shop, the following applies:

  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. Karida does not receive or store your card number, CVV, or other payment credentials. By completing checkout, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Order information (items purchased, shipping address, order status) is stored in our Supabase database to fulfil and support your order.
  • Stripe.js — Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser to detect fraud and improve payment security.
  • We do not share your order information with third parties except as necessary to fulfil your order (e.g., shipping carriers) or as required by law.

By using our website, you are consenting to our Privacy Policy and agreeing to its terms.

Information We Collect

When we request personal information from you, we will clarify why we are asking for it at the point of request.

Log Files

Like most hosting services, Karida uses log files as part of standard procedure. These files log visitors when they visit websites. This information, not linked to any personally identifiable data, is used for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements on the website, and gathering demographic data.

Analytics and Error Monitoring

To operate and improve our services, we use the following analytics and monitoring providers:

  • Self-hosted Plausible Analytics (hosted by Karida) to understand aggregated website usage trends, such as page popularity and traffic sources, in a privacy-focused way.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare Insights) to understand website performance and traffic patterns, and to help identify reliability or abuse-related issues.
  • Sentry to monitor application errors and diagnose technical issues. Sentry may process technical diagnostics such as stack traces, page URLs, browser/device information, and timestamps associated with an error event.

We use this data to maintain security and reliability, troubleshoot incidents, and improve the user experience. We do not use these tools for selling personal data.

Advertising Partners Privacy Policies

You can find a list of our advertising partners’ Privacy Policies on their respective websites. Third-party ad servers or networks may use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their advertisements and links on Karida. These technologies, sent directly to the users’ browser, automatically capture your IP address. They are employed to assess the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and personalize the advertising content you see on websites.

Please note, Karida has no access to or control over these cookies used by third-party advertisers.
